Products meet new Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Stetards
Columbia, MD - July 17, 2006 - GTCO CalComp announces that its Interwrite SchoolBoard et Interwrite SchoolPad products are available in RoHS (Restrictions of Hazardous Substances) compliant versions. RoHS is recognized as the new global environmental stetard for electronics. Effective, July 1, 2006, RoHS regulations govern the amount of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls et Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers contained within electronic products in the EU. Similar environmental requirements will take effect in California in January 2007. The Interwrite SchoolBoard et Interwrite SchoolPad join previously announced Interwrite PRS RF, an award-winning student response system, in Interwrite's family of green products.
